Hello Folks,

After moving, getting sick, going to the hospital, missing three days of internship, going home, coming back, I am now in the swing of things and am back to internship! Woohoo! And yes, I am feeling so SO much better. I still have a lingering cough, but I will survive. (cue song) The first *full week of internship is complete and to tell you the truth I am drained! haha but actually I don't want to leave my bed.

 INTERNSHIP

Oh boy, where to begin...?

Well after coming back a week later, Natalie my classmate who is doing the internship with me, already got the low down on some of the procedures so I had some catching up to do! It was like I was jumping onto a moving train, which if you can image me, the klutz that I am, jumping onto a moving train it's quite an interesting image. Boy oh boy did I gain respect for the people that work in casting. There is so much going on and they have to keep it all straight. I also learned I could never do what they do. I pride myself on being a very mature person but just because I am mature doesn't mean I am not young at heart. Sitting at a desk for 8 hours is hard for me. Some people can do it, but I learned I am not good at desk jobs. Between making up a secret language with my classmate (we don't want to be too loud when we talk to each other because we don't know what's going on and don't want to seem stupid doing something wrong) to tapping under the desk to keep myself entertained, desk jobs are not for me.

I will tell one funny story, cause it is the epitome of what the first week at internship was like.
o after you enter contacts from an audition sign in sheet to the iCloud, you have to shred the paper. So I get the shredder out and plug it into the extension cord and it doesn't turn on. So I unplug it from the extension cord and unplug the coffee maker and plug it in there and it still doesn't turn on! So, I try it at a different outlet. No surprise, it doesn't work. Only to realize that the paper bin is full. So I popit open and little shreds of paper are going all over the floor, all over me and I start pour the bin into the trash. Then Natalie, the other intern and classmate of mine, comes into the stock room, sees me on the floor trying to juggle the trash can, the trash can lid, all the little shreds of paper on the floor, and the bin overflowing with paper pieces and says, "Oh boy Jenna."  We both burst out laughing, but only very quietly cause we don't want anyone to know what is going on. Then she points out I should be recycling the shredding's of paper. So then I walk the bin, still over flowing of paper may I add, into the recycle trash can out in the lobby. But of course, paper is flying everywhere and then Natalie comes out to see me on the ground again...picking up the little, little pieces of paper. All the while we are trying to hold in our shrieks of laughter.
t truly was an "intern" moment I had that day. I did learn to empty out the shred paper bin more frequently so that moment NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN.

But on a more serious note, I taped my first audition today!
loved being in the room but on the other side so much! It makes me all the more excited to get back in the swing of auditions.

LA LA LAND

Natalie and I went to go see La La Land this past Friday and all i'm going to say about the movie is "whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Also go see it, it was so so so good! Plus the movie theatre that we went to was HUGE. It has a balcony! A balcony in a movie theatre. Jeez, only in New York folks, only in New York.
fter the movie we made a quick pit stop at Lincoln Center. OMG, I am in love. It was beautiful. It was the first time in the city where I felt like I could breathe and take it in. You can see us at the fowntain below.

So until next week ladies and gents!

And yes, you could say I was excited on my first day, even though I was sick.
